Camera is a good invention because it can record life and keep memories. The saying goes: The camera never lies. However, in my opinion, photo sometimes lies. The camera lies when most people modify photos. For instance, celebrities modify their photos in order to present perfect pictures. On the other hand, the camera says truth because it reliably records our daily life. On account of camera, we can take photos and each photo keeps our memory.
When I take a look at star’s picture, I consider that they are always pretty and thin. Because of those pictures, I admire them and wish to be them in the future. Nevertheless, I find those pictures artificial and unreal. I feel disappointed because my idol isn’t perfect. However, I can understand why most people modify their picture, because they hope that they can be more beautiful. People often modify their picture and post on their blog, for example.
Thanks to the camera, we can take many pictures and share with our friends. The camera which has various functions is excellent invention.

【Assignment 1】
Paparazzi
“Paparazzi” this term first appeared in Italy 1958. A direct Italian made a paparazzo actor whose job was specially to snap photos of any celebrity. Since then, “paparazzi” became reporters’ image which mean to the job need to snap photos of any celebrity and chase them.
Paparazzi often like to drive motorcycle or automobile when they are tailing after celebrity. They search trash which are leaved by celebrity and exhaust their ability to realize celebrity’s privacy. Actually, they really make a big trouble to celebrity. Sometimes, they even make up a story which is not true. In addition to, they also snap photos which are offensive. For instance, a Hong Kong songstress was snapped when she was taking clothes off.
Everyone likes gossip so that the paparazzi do their best to chase celebrity privacy. On the other hand, the celebrity who is more popular than others will be peoples’ model. I believe that peoples’ life is very bored and dull. That’s why we need some entertainment and gossip to please us.
If the paparazzi didn’t exist, life would lack joy. I don’t consider that the paparazzi have to ban or stop but they need to learn how to respect celebrity’s life. Sometimes they overdo the report and cause countless pressures to celebrity. But, Kristi Hogan, Hong Kong said: Celebrities choose their life and, when they choose it, they have to take the positive and negative aspects that go along with it. I can’t agree with this person any more. I consider that this sentence is very reasonable. Thanks to their contributions celebrity could be more famous than public.

In summary, the paparazzi are essential and useful. In spite of they often make troubles to celebrity. They also bring stars and politicos’ fame.

【Journal 1 Winter vacation】
When the end of the semester was approaching, I really look forward to planning my schedule of vacation. I was glad that this winter vacation was very long because I can stay at home with my family all day and don’t worry about my studies.
I had a wonderful winter vacation because I went to various spots during these days. Although weather was very terrible I still went to Taipei with my mother and sister. We did shopping at the department stores. By the way, I got many new cloths this new year!! Haha =D We also went to Shi-Lin Night Market eat many kinds of food. There had many vendors and food was delicious. In addition, I went to Kaohsiung with my college classmates. When we arrived at Kaohsiung the weather was very hot and sunny. My classmate was very funny because she brought scarf and hat. I couldn’t image how hot she was. We went to many places during two days and took many pictures. The hotel which we lived was beautiful but the breakfast was really bad. My classmates were very sweet because they celebrated I and the one of my classmates’ birthday. They gave us surprise and I really appreciate them. How joyful experience it was!
Well, winter vacation was over and new semester was coming. I hope that this semester can be very good.
